PROJECT INFORMATION
45-H, DHA, KARACHI – 600 YARDS – 2025
The residence is conceived as a dialogue between openness and purpose, exploring the poetic balance of built and unbuilt space. Positioned on a west-facing plot, the home responds to natural elements—sun, wind, and light—allowing the environment to define the architecture rather than imposing form upon it.
PROJECT CONCEPT
A signature aspect of the design is the careful orchestration of negative space. Courtyards, voids, and transitional zones frame breezes and sunlight, enhancing ventilation while preserving privacy. The home embraces the west-facing climate through shaded buffers and thoughtfully placed openings, creating interiors that are bright, airy, and ever-changing with the day’s rhythm.
Layered volumes and soft transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces guide movement throughout the residence. Warm materials and diffused natural light enrich the spatial experience, while each room, corridor, and courtyard engages in an intentional dialogue between enclosure and openness.
Overall, the interplay of light, air, and sculpted space creates a home that is simultaneously grounded and fluid—structured yet relaxed, functional yet poetic, alive with the subtle rhythms of daily life.
